Dental Implants

If you have missing teeth, it is crucial to replace them. Without all your teeth, chewing and eating can destabilize your bite and cause you discomfort. When teeth are missing, your mouth can shift and even cause your face to look older. Implants are a great way to replace your missing teeth, and if properly maintained, can last a lifetime!

In addition to tooth replacement, implants may be used to anchor dentures, especially lower dentures that tend to shift when you talk or chew.  These people experience a significant improvement in their ability to chew food comfortably after their dental implant treatment.  For patients with removable partial dentures, implants can replace missing teeth which feel just like your own and give you a more natural-looking smile.

Reasons to Consider Dental Implants

When a single tooth or several teeth are missing, almost always a dental implant is the ideal way to replace it.  Without the root structure of a natural tooth, the jawbone can shrink creating problems for adjacent and opposing teeth.  This can also make your face look older.  Implants can help maintain that bone, and implants used to replace crowns will feel and look just like your natural teeth!  Implants cannot get decay like your normal teeth, and there are no loose parts, they are stable and comfortable.  If properly maintained implants can last a lifetime!
